When we were going through my grandparents house after they both had passed, we stumbled upon this file labeled, "Things That Please Me," (written in beautiful grandmother script of course). Inside were recipes, jokes, poems, pictures and any news clipping or words that my grandmother found "pleasing." So here goes my week's list of things I like.
* my new bike, so cute and just perfect for me (and heather)
* cheesy dance movies
* making mix master mixes for my runs
* getting into school for next year
* for my lazy weekend ahead. . . lovely legs and lovely gaze
* yet another thing to accessorize, swooning over bike panniers
Happy Long Weekend!

The Happenings: April Showers
April showers bring May flowers and wellies (love these vintage inspired floral pattern digs)! This week has been dreary save for a few cheery spots to brighten my mood. Here are a few things keeping me going this week.
* Spring romance budding? Take a listen to this smitten mix!
* A feast of color to brighten the dreary rain
* The perfect bike seat to keep me dreaming of two-wheel weather
* A fun activity to try out with my little ones
* Art in Bloom, if you are from the Minneapolis area, check this out!
* May Day, ding, dong, run! Or run for the amazing May Day parade!
* And of course, the Mighty Swell sale!!!
Happy Spring!

What We Wore To The Happenings: Photo Mixing
I had a unique opportunity this past weekend, to add the visual elements to my father's music at his concert. This was a new endeavor for all of us, the band was ambient world music, and I mixed (with a DJ set up mixing board!) photos to create backgrounds and visuals to the music. I was so nervous, having never really shown my photos to an audience before, but in the end, it turned out to be really fun. I wore, gray booties from a consignment shop, gray pencil skirt from Zara, blue tights from a shop in Spain, and a Red coat from the Mighty Swell pop up, courtesy of Two Birds!

What We Wore: Lazy Day
In the winter, when the snow isn't quite fluffy and the temp is nearing zero, I tend to stay close to home. Today I listened to some records and danced (trying to keep my new years goals) and brewed some tea. What have you been listening to lately? I am loving last year's Deerhunter album.
I wore a vintage wrap green checkered skirt, a zara white frilly shirt, dark green tights from a calcetines shop in Spain, and red leather booties from Spain.

Music to Twirl to: Phoenix
Take away shows have taken up a good amount of my internet time, and I wanted to share one. I love to dance around in my apartment, sometimes with taps (my neighbors sure love me) and sometimes in bare feet; Whatever the situation, a good tune, is a good tune. And this one has made many a dress twirl.
