What We Wore To The Happenings: Photo Mixing

I had a unique opportunity this past weekend, to add the visual elements to my father's music at his concert. This was a new endeavor for all of us, the band was ambient world music, and I mixed (with a DJ set up mixing board!) photos to create backgrounds and visuals to the music. I was so nervous, having never really shown my photos to an audience before, but in the end, it turned out to be really fun. I wore, gray booties from a consignment shop, gray pencil skirt from Zara, blue tights from a shop in Spain, and a Red coat from the Mighty Swell pop up, courtesy of Two Birds!

What We Wore: In Stitches

It is a good night when you laugh like this. . . we laughed in doors, and went out later to play bar stool match game. I wore a long Zara black t-shirt and leggings, a *sale* dress from Urban Outfitters, a thrifted leather belt, angora hat and cowboy boots, a vintage cashmere cardigan and a silly grin.

What We Wore: Leap Frog!

Old-school playground games are the best kind of fun. On a walk through the park, Alex decided we should play leap frog. He jumped clear over my head (one of his many talents is jumping super high, surprising hot). I wore: a vintage cotton shirt dress, ruffled navy cropped sweater (Ambiance San Francisco), navy tights (Target), and Minnetonka moccasin booties (I was wearing my favorite brown lace-up leather riding boots, but had to change before our walk because although cute, they were killing my feet).

What We Wore: Mystery Madness

I went out to see a local favorite of mine, Mystery Palace at the newly re-vamped Varsity Theatre. It was a good time with great friends. A little taxi debacle, a Seekins sighting and lots of laughter. I wore my favorite vintage silky sleeveless floral dress, vintage brown woven boots with cream knit socks and grey-brown tights topped off with an Urban Outfitters cream sweater and a vintage cream coat!

What We Wore: Boots

A wonderful time of year to kick up your heels (and a few leaves). The perfect fall day: slightly crisp air, light streaming through the rustling trees and colors of burnt sienna, yellow ocher and cardinal red. This time of year always makes me skip and shuffle to hear the crunch, crinkle, crackle of the leaves. To compliment the day, these vintage woven leather boots seemed just the thing! I love to pair them with tall socks and a simple dress. This time of year is so inspirational for colors, I love the palette that nature provides. Perfect for my fall stroll.
